About Gentle Pets
Gentle Pets Program is designed to create a unique opportunity for supported youth and adults develop skills to care and foster a love for animals.
While incorporating animal assisted therapy into Hearthstone Community Group daily life, this social enterprise also offers a chance for people in the community to connect and enhance their participation. This creates opportunity for individuals living with cognitive disabilities to build rapport and new social relationships.

Services
Wuf’N Stay Dog Program
- 20 – 25 minute behaviour assessment is required prior to participation in the Gentle Pets Wuf’N Stay Dog Program (admission into the Wuf’N Stay program is at the discretion of the assessor)
- Minimum age requirement for participation: Puppies 16 weeks with paperwork identifying all vaccinations are up to date
- All dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered with paperwork identifying all vaccinations are up to date
- Vaccination paperwork is required upon first stay in Wuf’N Stay Dog Program
- Attendance to Wuf’N Stay may be permitted 10 days following vaccination date(s) provided
If you dog is staying for the day, we kindly ask that you provide food as they require.
Self-Serve Wash Station
- $10.00 for 30 minutes. Each additional dog/cat $5.00
- Rinse / Shampoo / Wash / Dry
- Rinse / Shampoo / Wash / Condition / Rinse / Dry (additional fees apply)
- Additional Products available upon request (additional fees apply)
* Shampoos provided are safe to use on dogs, cats, kittens, puppies

4 hours or less: $10/dog
